IPad (8th and 9th generation) - 7327 x 7327 IPad Pro 9.7", iPad (6th and 7th generation), iPad mini (5th generation), iPad Air (3rd generation) - 8,192 x 4,096 or 16,384 x 2,048 IPad Pro 12.9", iPad Pro 11", and 10.5" iPad Air (4th generation), iPad mini (6th generation), iPad (10th generation) on iPadOS 15 or later - 16,384 x 4,096 or 8,192 x 8,192 Here are the maximum canvas sizes by device in pixel: For example, on the 12.9" and 11" M1 iPad Pros (updated to iPadOS 15 or later), you can make any canvas provided neither side is longer than 16,384 pixels and the total size of the canvas doesn't exceed 134 megapixels. You can create a canvas of any size and ratio in Procreate as long as it doesn't exceed the width/height limit for your particular device. The iPad (5th Generation), iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 can create canvases up to 8,192 pixels in either direction, and for the iPad Pro models this limit is increased to 16,384 pixels. The other limit is on any single dimension - width or height. For example, the 12.9" and 11" M2 and M1 iPad Pros and the iPad Air 5 can create a canvas up to 134,217,728 pixels total - around 134 megapixels. The limit on total canvas size can be found by multiplying the two dimensions of any of the below maximum sizes. Some have openly wondered whether Apple has scrapped Airpower altogether after people noticed that Apple removed all mention of the accessory from its website. There are actually two limits on canvas sizes in Procreate, both imposed by the hardware of the iPad model you're using. Fans were also bummed that two announcements many were hoping to hear - a new version of its AirPods headphones and an update about the timeline of Apple's wireless AirPower charger - were no-shows on Wednesday. The iPhone SE was notably the last iPhone with a 4-inch screen those with smaller hands must now embrace Apple's larger screens or look elsewhere, maybe even for a used iPhone SE.Īt the same time, the iPhone X got replaced by the iPhone XS, which would be fine if the XS were more of an upgrade, but many customers are disappointed that the cheapest OLED iPhone will still cost $999 this year. The iPhone SE and the iPhone 6s were two of our favorite iPhone models and incredible values in their own right. ![]() Apple quietly discontinued several devices Wednesday, including the iPhone 6s, the iPhone X, and the iPhone SE. Fans of other Apple products got hit with some bad news, and none of it was mentioned during the event. RIP iPhone SE, you beautiful creature (2016-2018). But as great as the iPhone 7 is, if you're considering that as your "new iPhone" in 2018, I ask you: Are you really upgrading? But if you're going to take the iPhone XR over the XS, you may as well buy an older phone like an iPhone 7, which is only $449. Will people mind that the iPhone XR doesn't have a 1080p display, even if it's technically better than the screen on last year's iPhone 8? It may not beat any OLED display, especially on that massive iPhone XS Max, but its other features may just make it the better option between the two phones for most people, especially given its price. The iPhone XR even has the same camera features portrait mode, despite having just a single camera lens (that portrait feature was, for a long time, limited to iPhones with two rear lenses). It's even powered by the same brains as the iPhone XS: the A12 Bionic chip. If you're OK with one rear camera instead of two (and I don't think you'll miss optical zooming) and an LCD display instead of an OLED display, the iPhone XR seems better in every other way: It's cheaper, available in more fun colors, and has a bigger display than the iPhone XS (6.1 inches versus 5.8 inches). This time around, though, the more affordable option also looks like the superior option. ![]() In 2013, Apple unveiled the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c at the same event, with a similar idea: The iPhone 5s would represent Apple's pushing the limits of technology, while the iPhone 5c would feature a similar design but with more affordable components. The cheaper iPhone XR has more appealing features than the iPhone XS, putting the XS in an awkward spot. ![]() Account icon An icon in the shape of a person's head and shoulders.
